Belize is a distinct nation in Central America with a coastline featuring the worlds second largest barrier reef, dense tropical forests teaming with wildlife, and it is the only country in the region with English as its official language. The people of Belize are friendly and diverse, gaining their independence from Great Britian in 1981. The ancient Mayan civilization called the land now known as Belize their home and the country is host to some of their ruins, which are reportedly thousands of years old. We are very excited to explore Belize and its culture as we serve and minister to its people. Feel free to keep up with our journey as we post pictures and comments along the way.
